Back Where We Belong

We’ve arrived at home, at last, in Portland. (Curious about the journey? Start here. Then read here.) Luggage on the floor of my office, baby clothes, bottles, toys, diapers strewn everywhere. Just enough time to sleep a very tiny bit, get a little bit grounded, and then teach a class yesterday.luggage_pdx1

Today I’m teaching again, and meeting face-to-face with Kate Williams, our Infrastructure Queen.

I cannot believe how amazing it is to have them home, to be home. To hang out with friends. To eat food that we’re used to (organic, vegetables, etc.)

I’ve got three great blog posts in the wings- some big insights over the last week with clients and almost-clients, and some reminders about pricing, and letting fish get away. All of that is coming up.

But, for right now, for today, just celebrate homecoming with the boys today:

That’s Samuel on the left, David on the right. Happy, healthy, and growing faster than the growth curve.

Thanks for celebrating. Thanks for hanging out even though the business content has been a little on the more minimal side the last few weeks. Thanks for the love and attention.

And thanks for affirming my experience that business can include ALL of us- that we don’t need to hide ourselves, that we don’t need to succumb to the curse of professionalism that keeps our hearts walled off from each other.

Peace and love to each of you.

My love to all of you. I’m so deeply thrilled that you are home. Can’t wait to see you in person in March too! Big snuggles and kisses to those two boys. Hugs to Holly too! Talk to you in just over an hour now…

Thank you, Alice, for celebrating with us! Peace indeed. :) (Although I can hear some crying from the next room… thank God there’s two of us caring for these kids…)

Mazel tov, hallelujah, yee ha! Welcome home, Samuel and David, and welcome home to your new family constellation Mark and Holly.

So, do they make sound in harmony? Sam and Dave — I know they were a duo way back when, yes? ;-)

My heart is overflowing with joy for you to have your dream family at last.

    Love to all of you,
    Sharon~*

So incredibly happy at how it all unfolded, so perfectly and in such Divine Order. I am wishing you all the best of the best, Mark & Holly, and lucky babies Samuel and David.

I woulda made SUCH a good babysitter- I adore babies, and my 2 boy babies are so big now at 14, and 16.

Can’t wait to see more photos, hear all the stories and imagine all of you snug and happy and complete.

    Much love to you-

They are really really gorgeous. I am so pleased with how chubby they are! Really pleased! They sure look healthy. I think they must be getting a LOT of love!

Congratulations to you and Holly for making this incredible journey. The holy sacrifices of parenthood show up in many forms… And you are both, clearly, doing an incredible job…. in the face of significant challenges – including the weeks away and the fact that there’s two of ‘em! :) Your loving care shows clearly in their happy faces!

Is mum getting some good loving amidst the constancy of caring? Foot massages? Healing sessions? Of course she probly is… But let me fuss about it for a second.

I am so happy for your growing family and wish a million blessings into your house now.

Yollana´s last blog post..Money. Love it … Hate it… Need it… How does it make you feel?

@Lisa We would’ve loved to have you babysit. :) thanks for celebrating with us!

@Yollana- yah, I like that feature, too. As soon as I saw it, some months ago, I knew I wanted to add it here.

And now that I’m no longer sick, I think mom will be getting a lot more help, care, and self-care. :)
