As you begin to read through this page, I’ll let you know that although I love working with clients, I’m seeing very few individual clients right now. Why? Heart of Business has been becoming a company, and I’ve turned my attention to leading a team. We have some amazing practitioners who are much more available than I am.
That said, I do take on the occasional client if we’re a super-great match.
There are three things you need to be successful in business:
- Know-how. You have to know what you are doing. You can dream all you want, but if you don’t know effective marketing, or pricing strategies, or business structures, it’s going to be a mess, or very, very quiet in your business. Know-how alone isn’t enough, but without it, you go nowhere fast.
- Clarity. When there are a thousand priorities, which one do you start on? Once you have the know-how, you need to have clarity of direction and the support to stay true to your course, so the winds of chance don’t blow you off-course or sink you.
- Spiritual Alignment. This is the most important step of all. Lots of people have know-how, fewer have clarity. Very few people know how to reach and hold their spiritual alignment, except in very special situations, such as walking in nature, or secluded from the world. Sure, that’s very beautiful, and yet if you can’t hold your spiritual alignment in the whirl of business, you end up exhausted and burnt-out. Very successful and wealthy people fall prey to the pain that comes from too much know-how and too much manufactured clarity without spiritual alignment.
When all three of these come together, you just take action. In fact, it’s hard to hold you back. Once my clients know what to do, are clear where they are going, and feel aligned and nourished, tasks that are normally overwhelming like cleaning your office, marketing yourself, creating financial systems, just get done. You’re left surprised at how it took you so long to get there, when you got through them so quickly.
You can make a big difference in the world, and watch the money come in to support it. If you’ve been in business for any time at all, you know you need to make a profit if you want to keep helping people. It takes a lot more than just being good at what you do- you have to know how to run a business, and how to keep your heart and generosity at the same time. Sounds great, but will it work for you? This kind of intense, individual attention is not for everyone, or every business. In fact, for some businesses, it’s definitely NOT the answer.
Clients who are successful working with me tend to have these four things in common:
- You are past the start-up phase of your business.
Successful clients are generally ‘over the hump.’ Meaning you’ve been in business for at least a couple of years, are familiar with the terrain of your industry, and have confidence in what you do. - You are beyond bare survival level.
Because much of the work we would do would be looking at higher level strategy, and long-term business growth, you need to be able to focus on the future. When someone is in survival, it’s impossible, and inappropriate, to focus on long-term business building. We can get results quickly, and we can pay attention to urgent needs, but you need to be above hand-to-mouth.(Note: If you are still in the start-up phase or in survival, you probably need certain foundational pieces put in place, and you will learn and apply them much more quickly in a group situation. - You have a spiritual commitment in your life.
Making a quantum leap requires transformation, and transformation requires surrender- which is ultimately a spiritual process, no matter how many practical steps are involved in it. Successful clients are comfortable and engaged with spiritual practice on some level- and willing to engage more with it. - You have a tiger by the tail.
You have an inkling, or more than an inkling, that your business has hold of something special- something that can shake up some part of the world, make a lasting impact, has the potential to be pretty darn big.

The Organic Business Development Program
For you to get the results you want takes more than just an individual session here or there. After working with hundreds of clients, I’m wanting to save you the trouble of having to piece it all together.
12 Individual Sessions.
I’ve noticed that between three and four months of consistent work, there is a tremendous and permanent shift from problem-solving to creative development. For this reason we will do 12 sessions over six months- generally two sessions a month. At that point we re-evaluate. Many clients continue, some feel complete.
What do we handle in a session? There is always a combination of spiritual alignment, finding clarity of direction, and integrating know-how and expertise. Typical topics for sessions include:

- Clarifying business purpose/mission, so you feel solid;
- Clearing emotional/spiritual blocks to abundance and success;

- Learning to balance your natural generosity with your need to make a profit;

And on, and on… if it has to do with business, we can either handle it in the session, or find you a comfortable, doable strategy to get it handled.
Every session ends with a clear assignment so you know what your next steps are.

Often questions come up between sessions. Or, you have just finished a draft of your latest sales brochure. You think you’ve finally hit the right tone for your web copy. Perhaps you’ve had a disturbing interaction with an employee, client, colleague, or superior.
I am available to my clients by email to answer questions and give feedback between sessions.
Session Recordings.
Thanks to modern technology, I can record each of our sessions, upload an mp3, and send it off to you. More than just a coaching session, you are getting a custom business course that you can listen to whenever you want.

This is not meant for folks who want to make minimal improvements, or aren’t sure what help they need. This is meant to be an investment that will, pay for itself many times over the years to come.
An Alternative- A Business Assessment
I also will do one-off business assessments. You send me all the info about your business that you can, I review it, then we spend an hour on the phone doing an overall assessment of your business model and strategy, including spiritual/energetic components. At the end you’ll have recommendations on how to move forward.
The cost is $500 for this session.
