[Video] If you aren’t cherished, your business will break

I’ve seen it often over the years, a thoughtless comment or action by someone who is supporting your business, or even by a client, undermines all that you’re trying to do. You then spend a lot of time cleaning up the mess, assuring (other) clients that everything is okay…

I’m making a distinction between receiving critique- which is *really* important in any business- versus thoughtless comments and actions that undermine what a business is trying to do.

Here’s what I have to say about this.

Note: I didn’t speak to it in the video, but there is definitely a dynamic where a business owner who is not open to feedback in respectful ways may get that feedback in ways that may seem like they are attacking or undermining the business. That’s a worthwhile topic that needs to be addressed in addition to this one.

What would it feel like if you had permission to only include people who truly cherish you? Who, when they have feedback or pushback, can do it in a way that supports your growth and the business?
