Why you shouldn’t copy other businesses

I’m going to give you two contradictory pieces of advice, but, you can see, they aren’t really contradictory.

The first is: yes, learn from other businesses. See what they are doing, be inspired, learn!

However, the second piece is what this video is about, and it brings in some proper caution around what can happen if you unthinkingly just copy what you see other people doing.

Take a look, it’s just a little over 3 minutes.

May we all find worthy people to learn from and emulate.

Blessings on your and your business in this year.

  1. So true!

“Worthy people to learn from and emulate” are hard to spot while their business is still in a phase I *can* emulate. Too tiny.

Alternatively, there are people like you, who specialize in taking great care in teaching things that I’d like to emulate, with recognition of the phase of development my business is in ❤️

I’ve even needed your help to not emulate YOU! My business is in a completely different stage than yours, being 20 years its junior. So the way your business looks and seems to operate, you had to point out, is inappropriate for mine!

This was one of the hardest lessons for me, since I really just wanna “be official” and you were like: “start with the people you already know.”

    THANK YOU!!!
